The Art for Film initiative was designed to provide artworks based on Ethnografilms for the duration of each festival. Over 100 original pieces are displayed throughout the corridors, bar, and gallery levels of Ciné 13 Théâtre each year!
Young artists from Lee Magnet in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, select screen shots from films after the selection process is finished in February. These shots are used to create two or three dimensional works, with approximate dimensions of 11″ x 17.” Directors in attendance are given the matted piece associated with their film as a keepsake when they leave the festival.
